One of the continual ironies of America is the massive, and increasing, disparity between the haves and the have nots. So often, a city’s hippest and highest rent districts are within a few blocks of its most desperate.

The shots in this collection span from my time in downtown Los Angeles to Miami. In some way, I’m attempting to show the human side of the people who are so often ignored by society.
